I want to live intentionally. This week has brought reality right in front of me. Someone close to me had an accident and got killed. All I can think about is how I just heard this person’s voice and if a simple hello was enough. No one knows their time when their exit card will be picked. I just want to make sure that I have done all I can and to show love to all I can.
First it was my dad having a minor heart attack that made me realize I was playing life short. I’m an adult, and I can’t wait until tragedy happens to realize certain things I’m not prepared for. Living life intentionally is a must, while raising a family and making sure they know the realities of life—money management, accountability, morals, ethics, and history to name a few.
Now when this friend of mine passed, I thought of love and forgiveness. I got to make sure each one of my children knows that I love them and they are loved. Every time we leave for the day to start our days, love is passed along. Life can be busy, stressful, and worrisome, but I refuse to allow it to make me miss the important things within my life that are right in front of me. I can’t say it better; every day I’m striving to be a better version of myself. Time is of the essence, so for the most part, you have to make the most of it. Forgive always. Love unconditionally. Live in the moment and, if given the opportunity, try over and over again.
I can’t erase what has happened, or redo what has been. I can only move forward with a different understanding and a different outcome in the end. This layer of me I do release.
